FAQs
What should I expect when reaching out?
When you contact me via my website or email, I'll reach out to you in a day or two to set up a time for a short (free!) consultation call. In this call you can tell me a little about what it is you're looking for, ask me any questions you may have, and we can determine if it feels like the right fit to work together. If we decide to move forward, I'll send some paperwork to your email address and we'll schedule our first session. If we decide it might not be the best fit, I'll happily send you some referrals for a clinician who might be more in line with what you're looking for!
What types of topics can you help me with?
While Eating Disorders and how they overlap with trauma, anxiety, and depression are my main specialties, I also am honored to work with clients through their grief, trauma, self-worth, religious/spiritual trauma, painful family dynamics, or stressors of daily life.
Do you accept insurance? What does it cost?
I am in network with Aetna insurance, and am able to provide a Superbill for out of network claims. Out of network session rate is $125 per 50-55 minute session, and I often have sliding scale rates available!
What if it feels like a good fit, but I can't afford it?
This is totally understandable! Depending on your level of need I might be able to offer you a monthly superbill which you can submit to your insurance for an out of network reimbursement each month, or, I always offer a few sliding scale options which you can check in about to see if there are any available.
How often should I attend counseling sessions?
The frequency of counseling sessions will depend on your specific needs and goals. I always encourage clients to start weekly for a few weeks as we get to know each other, and then we can discuss the right fit from there!
